ABOUT ME

Dr. Reuven Rosenberg is a chiropractor and board certified clinical nutritionist. He graduated from Parker University in Dallas, TX in 1998 and has practiced in Dallas, NYC and Israel, with a private office in Ramat Beit Shemesh.  He has completed post graduate courses in functional neurology and applies those skills to all cases.  By integrating functional neurology principles, clinical nutrition, and functional lab testing he is able to help solve many health problems for which people have been told there is no solution; insomnia, male and female hormone issues, weight gain, headaches and migraines, sleep apnea, autoimmune problems, chronic pain, ADD/HD, schizophrenia, and diseases of the digestive system.

My Story

At age 21 I started an office job in NYC at a prestigious law firm.  Not long after I began to feel sick.  But not sore throat, fever, chicken soup sick.  I was extremely fatigued, always thirsty, and had puffy red lips.  I visited three medical experts and all said, after blood and urine tests came back normal, that there was nothing wrong. Well, there was something wrong and I didn’t know where to turn after the experts pronounced me well.

Since my symptoms were vague and I had no fever, no dizziness, no pain, no sore throat and the lab tests came back all within normal limits the doctors had no clue.

A family friend suggested a doctor who specialized in functional medicine and nutrition.  Out of desperation I made an appointment.  After speaking to me for about half an hour he suggested a functional lab test.

The doctor explained that unlike standard blood and urine testing functional lab tests seek out information not provided in the standard tests.  In my case I provided four saliva samples spaced out through the day and a single morning urine sample.  The test measured my cortisol, a stress hormone, throughout the day, as well as other neurotransmitters and hormones.

The results were telling and stunning.  My stress levels were above the normal range the entire day.  The doctor said NYC police officers who took this test did not have such a profile. It was no wonder I wasn’t feeling well.

The first step in getting better is to know what is wrong.  You can’t fix the problem if you don’t know what the problem is.

The doctor ordered me to get to bed by 10:30 and started me on a program of diet and nutrition specifically targeted to the time of day according to my lab results.  After three months I didn’t feel much of a change and I was becoming disillusioned.  But I stuck with it and did as the doctor said.  One day, finally, I woke early before the alarm clock.  I felt like something had changed.  I wasn’t fatigued when I woke up.  I was able to start the day early with energy whereas before I was still in bed at 12 noon and dragging myself off to work.  This changed my life!  I returned to school and got my degree.

I have been in practice since 1999 and cherish the idea of helping other people who are struggling just like I was.  I understand their fears and frustrations because I was once one of them.

If you have been suffering with chronic fatigue, insomnia, stress, anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, unexplained aches and pains, fibromyalgia, headaches, digestive problems like IBS, mid-life weight gain and loss of libido, mercury amalgam toxicity, or exposure to environmental toxins I may be able to help you with the right functional lab test which will give you the answers you need to begin the road to recovery and a healthy life.
